One Saturday I took to the MCG to watch Carlton take on Essendon. Carlton put Essendon to a standstill in the 3rd quarter, not allowing them to kick any goals. This mark by number 1 (Andrew Walker) just made the entire game.

All in all another great night out at the MCG.
The next sporting event that was a success for Australia this weekend was the Tour De France.
The Victorian born Cadel Evans took home the yellow jersey with a outstanding performance in the final time trial. The local newspaper had a great printed a great article on him: http://www.theage.com.au/sport/cycling/for-so-long-the-nearly-man-cadels-dream-finally-comes-true-20110725-1hvzr.html
Last, but certainly not least was the F1 German GP.
I am just about to watch the race in its entirety, but I had a little peak and saw that Australian Mark Webber came 3rd to score some much needed points in the World Championship fight.
For non-sports lovers this maybe a very boring post, but knowing me and my love for sport I thought it was important to celebrate all the victories that took place this weekend!
